Anticipating 6,000 for the bicentenary
Mass and 8,000 for the bicentenary Concert, it was decided to keep the
celebration of the actual Foundation Day on the 2nd February very
low-key, In fact, it was decided to keep it to a Brothers-only affair.
And so the Brothers gathered at Holy Cross College, Ryde, on the 2nd for a Thanksgiving Eucharist, lunch, etc. ![]() For the Mass we were delighted that
Fathers Kelvin Lovegrove and Ron Peters were able to join us, couldn’t
have done it without them. Many would know that both Kelvin and Ron
were once Patricians - as stated it was an only-Brothers affair. (Photos: Fr Kelvin Lovegrove &
Fr Ron Peters; Brothers give the day their stamp of approval.)After the Mass, organised by the Ryde community, the Brothers enjoyed a delicious lunch organised by Br Mark Ryan. They all gathered in another room for a video presentation on the bicentenary events so far, with the main emphasis on the Indian Immersion, and a video on the new foundation at Laingim, Papua New Guinea.
