Brother Paul lists the first community (1884 by his reckoning) as being made up of Brothers Fintan O'Neill, Laurence Ryan, Andrew Dwyer, James Long, Malachy Dwyer.

In 1898 the Brothers were called back to Sydney to cope with the demands there of the city schools.
