And this is what we had on Wednesday the 17th of May, 2006. At 2:00pm a small group of interested people - Brothers, architects, builders, neighbours, and some Central Coast families and friends of the Brothers - gathered at 18-20 Boomerang St, The Entrance, the site of new houses, to have a preview look at the development - a more formal opening and blessing with take place at a later date. This 'preview' consisted of a short prayer lead by Brother Aengus; a short history of the site by Brother Patrick Lovegrove; an explanation of the site by architect Alex Coutts; and then, to the horror of the many builders still on site,  especially the carpet layers, the guests were invited to take a tour of inspection and then return for afternoon tea.

On return to the repast everyone seemed to be suitably impressed by it all: bedrooms were a comfortable size, kitchens were modern and roomy; general living areas had plenty of light and air; and there were even a few verandahs to take in the sun and pin-hole views of the water. Colour schemes of the walls and carpets were also favourably commented on, and the curtains are yet to come. Landscapers were laying the grass and planting some bushes as we were walking around. Yes, it all went very well.

The builders should be gone before the end of May and some Brothers will be able to move in. The next school holidays will be quite something when many Brothers will converge on the site looking for a bed in the new establishment.

Well done to Brother Paul O'Keeffe and his Provincial Council for beginning the work. Well done to Brother Aengus and to especially Brother Matthew Mahoney who took over the project on  behalf  of  the  Brothers.  It has taken a great deal of
