Boomerang St Preview
|
|
And this
is what we had on Wednesday the 17th of May, 2006. At 2:00pm a
small group of interested people - Brothers, architects, builders,
neighbours, and some Central Coast families and friends of the Brothers
- gathered at 18-20 Boomerang St, The Entrance, the site of new houses,
to have a preview look at the development - a more formal opening and
blessing with take place at a later date. This 'preview' consisted of a
short prayer lead by Brother Aengus; a short history of the site by
Brother Patrick Lovegrove; an explanation of the site by architect Alex
Coutts; and then, to the horror of the many builders still on
site, especially the carpet layers, the guests were invited to
take a tour of inspection and then return for afternoon tea.

Colour schemes of the walls and carpets were also favourably commented
on, and the curtains are yet to come. Landscapers were laying the grass
and planting some bushes as we were walking around. Yes, it all went
very well.

something when many Brothers will converge on the site looking for a
bed in the new establishment.
Well done to Brother Paul O'Keeffe and his Provincial Council for
beginning the work. Well done to Brother Aengus and to especially
Brother Matthew Mahoney who took over the project on behalf
of the
Brothers. It has taken a great deal of
