Delany Gathering

And they gathered at Delany...well many of them anyway
Our regular website visitors and newsletter readers would be very familiar with our new establishment up at the seaside, lakeside, central coast town of The Entrance - about an hour or so north of Sydney. We call the complex of houses Delany Place in honour of our congregational founder Bishop Daniel Delany. Since mid-July this year a caretaking community of two have been calling Delany Place home: Brothers Patrick Lovegrove and Stephen Sweetman.

Several times over the course of a year all the Brothers get together in one place to receive a report from the leadership team, to discuss some of the issues raised, and to just catch-up with what everyone is doing. It was felt appropriate to hold the October (Friday 6th) meeting at Delany Place. Apart from being an ideal setting for such a gathering, it was for some Brothers the first time they have seen the complex since it "opened".

A time for serious discussion
A time for a good story
No big decisions were made during the day, that was not the purpose of it all, but certainly the Brothers went away feeling they had been brought up to speed on things and had had the opportunity to discuss it all. All seemed pleased too with the complex and how it was progressing, room bookings were taken for the Christmas holidays. Essential to the success of any such day as this is good food, and the day was very successful. Well done to Br Patrick for organising that and for Sadie Fletcher who seems to have done most of the actual catering work. (Photo: Patrick and Sadie)

Delany Place is available to small school and CEO groups for conferences/meetings. You can phone 4332 4148 for details. A low-resolution brochure is available by clicking on this link (1.2Mb pdf).
