A Prayer
Blessed Be Your Name
An amazing feature of all the great saints was their ability to accept whatever came their way in life,
and so many of the saints did seem to have a lot which came their way.
We all know about Job: on top of the world one minute and destitute and alone the next
and praising God all the way.
And Aussie saint Mary MacKillop must have been wondering about God's intentions many times during her life.
This hymn of praise by Matt Redman inspires us to be the same:
use the tough times not as a time when we clench our fits at God
but as an opportunity to show our love for and faith in a God
who has and continues to travel with us.
Put the volume up (or wear headphones)
and let the message penetrate your heart and enter into your soul.
This version proclaimed by one of my “Songs of Praise”
favourites, but I do not know her name.
