During the month of July Patricians and Brigidines around the world
will be commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of Bishop Daniel Delany.
He died at 2:00am on the 9th July, 1814, at the age of sixty-seven. For the last twelve months of his life he was cared for by the Brigidines in their convent at Tullow. He had been painfully ill for some months but died quietly during the celebration of Mass in his room.
